The Scholarship is an award of financial assistance for a student to further their tertiary education after their time at Noble Park Secondary College.

’Class of 1976 Scholarship’

The Class of 1976 Scholarship is awarded to students from Noble Park Secondary College - or surrounding government schools where criteria is not met - to aid in undertaking an undergraduate degree at The University of Melbourne.

Benefits

The Class of 1976 Scholarship provides an allowance of $18,000 per year for 3 years. This allowance is made by an anonymous benefactor who attended Noble Park Secondary College and studied at The University of Melbourne. Each year the allowance is paid in two instalments - in April and September.

Eligibility

To be considered for The Class of 1976 Scholarship, you must:

  • be an Australian citizen or permanent resident

  • have completed Year 12 at a school in Australia

  • have applied for and meet the requirements for a University of Melbourne undergraduate course for commencement in the year following completion of Year 12, and

  • not have been awarded results for subjects undertaken as part of a degree at another tertiary institution in Australia

Application

You do not need to submit an application for this scholarship. All students from Noble Park Secondary College who have applied to The University of Melbourne via VTAC will automatically be considered.

Selection

Eligible candidates are selected on the basis academic merit. Preference will be given to students who completed Year 12 at Noble Park Secondary College.

If there are no eligible students from Noble Park Secondary College, preference will be given to students from other government schools within an incremental radius.

Outcome

Scholarship offers are made a few days after the Victorian Year 12 ATAR results are released in December.
