CSEF (Camps, Sports & Excursion fund)

Important changes for 2020 only

The Department has announced changes to the operation of CSEF to apply to 2020 as follows:

  • The eligibility date for CSEF in 2020 has been extended from 14th April until 5th October 2020
  • Only families holding a valid means-tested concession card are eligible to apply, along with special consideration arrangements.
  • Payment will be made at 50% of the standard per student rates for families now eligible as per the dates above.
  • Applications must be submitted to school prior to 25th November, 2020.

The above is related to families who have not yet applied for CSEF in 2020

CSEF usage is normally restricted to camps, sports and excursions activities. As there is limited opportunity to undertake these activities this year, it was announced in term 2 that CSEF could be used for technology devices and internet access.

CSEF usage has now been expanded further to include voluntary school charges being electives and VET payments, books and stationery. It may not be used for school uniforms, before/after school care, music lessons, formals/graduations or compulsory fees.

Noble Park Secondary College is seeking to assist families by utilising any unused CSEF funds to cover any outstanding charges relating to Electives and VET programmes in addition to Sport and excursions.

If you believe you have some unused CSEF funds and do not agree for Noble Park Secondary College to utilise this for the above, please notify our Business Manager Kerrie Dawson or Accounts Receivable Donna Ryan prior to 17th November 2020.
